The Peerfold Loop — Education-Led Growth

The Cost of Standing Still — Slide Film

Every release you ship widens the gap between what your product can do and what your customers know it can do. We named it adoption debt, and like every debt it compounds. Customers who fall behind churn without complaining. Prospects who never learned your methodology buy from whoever taught them one. Answer engines cite whichever competitor published the open curriculum — and every month of citations trains buyers, and models, on someone else's vocabulary.

We did not name adoption debt from a whiteboard; it was named from the support queue, keeping a sixteen-lesson course true against one evolving product while the platform underneath moved too. The second direction has a name: platform debt, the adoption debt you inherit rather than issue. An accounting firm teaching a QuickBooks course ships no releases at all — yet one redesigned screen still invalidates every screenshot, step, and video it made. Any service business that teaches on a third-party platform is servicing debt it did not issue, on a timeline it does not control.

The market is going to get taught by someone. That is the one certainty this framework rests on: while competitors ran campaigns, HubSpot ran a school, and the school became a moat no feature release ever breached. Teach first. The rest of the loop is waiting.
